Web interface

The web interface is served by heron-web on HERON_HTTP_PORT (8000). Everything it does goes through the API, so scripts can do the same.

Every page shows a banner when something needs attention: the API, the database or the engine unreachable, live updates disconnected, or the server clock out of sync.

The interface keeps a WebSocket open: decks, queue and outputs change as soon as the engine reports them, and levels arrive ten times a second. It reconnects by itself.

Every time is shown in the station’s time zone, whatever the browser’s, so the history, the queue, the schedule and the selection log agree.

Light and dark themes, in English or French. System (the default) follows the device; a fixed choice is saved with your account.

The layout works from phone width up: the navigation moves to a menu, tables drop secondary columns and cards stack.
